Michael Owen says Mo Salah will be appreciated more after he leaves Liverpool

Michael Owen saysMohamed Salahwill be appreciated more once he is gone after watching back a compilation of his goals for Liverpool.

The 30-year-old has scored 178 goals in the colours of Liverpool and he picked his solo strike against Manchester City last season as his best-ever.

During Owens playing days, he was also known to lift crowds from their seat and he acknowledged that Salah has scored so many great goals during his days on Merseyside and he has everything to his name.

Things have been a little off-colour this season, but the same could be said for the rest of his teammates.

That was proven by the Reds slapping Manchester United 7-0 last week, only to lose 1-0 to Bournemouth, including a missed Salah penalty, on Saturday.

Nonetheless, when watching back some of the great goals Salah has scored, Owen was full of praise for the Egypt star,as he told Premier League Productions (11/03/23 at 11:55 am).

That was incredible, wasnt it?! said Owen. Watching some of those goals from Mo Salah. He has scored so many great goals.

Paul Scholes delivers Mohamed Salah verdict after Liverpool thrash Manchester United 7-0

Michael Owen praises Mo Salah as he equals Robbie Fowlers Premier League goals record

He has got everything. Long-range shots. Hes got the lot. Dribbling. Great finishers. He has developed into a great finisher over time. I never thought I would say that, I must admit. It shows, with practice, you can perfect a certain type of finish he has turned into the ultimate goalscorer.

He is an all-round great player. One of the greats. We will appreciate him more once he is gone and, hopefully, thats going to be a few years yet.

SALAH IN LIVERPOOLS GREATEST-EVER XI?

If you were to ask Liverpool fans of all ages to name the clubs greatest-ever XI, it would be interesting to see how many put Salah in their teams.

Of course, the 35 million star(Sky Sports)would get into the XIs of a number of the younger folk, but would those who watched the dominant teams of the past also put Salah in?

It was interesting that a certain Jamie Carragher put Salah in, but so did Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk get in from the current crop.

During Salahs time at Liverpool, he has won every trophy possible, scoring 178 and assisting 74 for the Merseyside giants, with much more still to come.
